Palmgren’s 8" Zip-Miter band saw offers extra precision, speed and versatility.

This saw delivers precise, fast cutting on a regular basis and are ideal for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials, solids, tubing and sectionals square and accurately.

The pivot head design is ideally suited for individual cuts to low volume production cutting applications.

• Choice of manual feed or hydraulic down feed

• Precision machined cast saw head for maximum rigidity and vibration dampening performance

• Advanced direct drive gear box and motor maximizes the power of the motor to the blade

• Gear box utilizes a bronze worm gear and hardened and ground worm shaft in an oil bath

• Twin supported head pivot point utilizing tapper roller bearings guarantees ease of operation and very precise cuts

• Rapid positioning vise allows for fast set-ups and maximum clamping force on the workpiece

• Adjustable zero clearance blade guides utilizing a combination of ball bearing and tungsten carbide pads provide maximum support and ensure square accurate cuts

• Large handwheel with electro-magnetic micro switch preset to insure proper blade tension

• With out proper tension the saw will not start and if the blade loosens or breaks during operation the saw will stop

• Fine adjustment hydraulic down feed control is easily adjusted to fine tune the blade speed to the material being cut

• Flood coolant system with the coolant fed through both blade guides to maximize cooling and cleaning of the chips from the blade

• Adjustable work stop for repetitive cuts

• Solid one piece heavy duty steel base

• Safety electrical package includes overload & low voltage protection, safety spring loaded switch, emergency stop button and two speed motor switch
